My family tree has deep roots in the Bay Area. My grandparents immigrated here during the turn of the last century and instilled in me a strong sense of old-fashioned service and a true respect for the customer. While growing up, my parents were excellent role models; my mother was an elementary school teacher and my father was a family physician devoted to the care of his patients.

I am thrilled that my husband George joined me in 2011 as my partner in real estate because the two of us can be twice as good for our clients.

We are constantly learning about all the new technologies, social media’s and tools to best sell a home and advertise to everyone utilizing all the resources available today.

Over the years Denise has stayed involved in higher education for her craft. She is a CRS, Certified Residential Specialist, SRES- Seniors Real Estate Specialist, E-Pro 500 -Certified Internet Professional, AHS – Accredited Home Staging Specialist, RCC – Residential Construction Certified, SRS – Seller Representative Specialist, ABR – Accredited Buyer Representative.

Our highest priority is to give the best in customer service. Our business is run mostly by referrals. People are pleased to pass along our names to their family and friends because of the level of care and respect they are given throughout the transaction and beyond. We stay as the Trusted Advisors to our clients sending monthly information and passing along referrals to any sources they need.

Denise has two adult sons, Matthew and Joe. George and Denise have a miniature schnauzer Benni and a Yorkshire Terrier, Mia Sophia. Denise is very involved in the community having served as President of Novato Chamber of Commerce, two years as President of the Downtown Business Association and served as a councilmember and three times mayor in the city of Novato for 13 years. She retired in December 2022. George has been very involved in golf tournaments for the hospital and Chamber of commerce and has been deeply involved in the city birthday party putting together a taste of Novato. Denise is currently on the Board of Directors of the Novato Chamber of Commerce, on the Government Affairs Committee (GAC), and on the Board of Directors of the Novato City Birthday Party (PTTR).

After over 20 years of nationally acclaimed award winning sales with Canon USA, George joined Athas & Associates Real Estate in April of 2011 as Denise’s partner. These two decades of experience, covering more than one third of the United States, complements his wife being in Real Estate since 1989. George received numerous sales awards while being a sales representative for Canon USA in their Consumer Imaging Group/Video Division. During his career he received the highest distinction awarded a Salesman which was the #1 National Salesman of the Year.

Since George received his Real Estate License he has achieved a designation and is a certified SFR – Short Sales and Foreclosures Resource.

This combination of experience will provide unparalleled service and an exceptional experience for customers.

George’s hobbies include music, playing drums and keyboard, travel and walking. He was born in San Rafael and grew up for a time in the Eastern States. George and Denise live in Novato.

George has been very involved in golf tournaments for the Sutter Community Hospital and Chamber of Commerce and has been deeply involved in the city birthday party putting together a taste of Novato with our local restaurants, wineries and breweries. George is currently on the Board of Directors of the Novato Chamber of Commerce and is also Chair of Sponsorship for the Novato City Birthday Party.
